Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a procedure?

If you are a new Consultant:
Please get in touch with our Theatre Nurse Manager at nurses@101diagnostics.co.uk to discuss how to obtain practising privileges.

If you are a patient:
As most of our procedures are Consultant led, you will need to be referred by your Doctor. If you would like to book a nurse led procedure please contact us on nurses@101diagnsotics.co.uk or call 0207 563 9865 and press option 2 for nurses. Alternatively, click here.

How long before my procedure do I need to arrive?

You will be asked to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your procedure.

What preparation do I need prior to my local anaesthetic procedure?

Unless otherwise specified by your Consultant, no preparation is required for a procedure under local anaesthetic as you will be awake throughout the procedure. It is recommended that you do eat a light meal before coming for your procedure, especially if you are prone to fainting.

What happens after my procedure?

Your Consultant or Nurse will give you post-procedure information verbally and written. Most patients are able to leave immediately following their procedure and continue life as normal. In some cases, we will require you to stay for a short time after to ensure that you are completely fine to go home.
